RESUMO

Objective: To observe the effects of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) five-element music therapy combined with mirtazapine on depression and limb function recovery after ischemic stroke. Methods: A total of 110 patients treated in the Departments of Geriatrics, Cardiology, and Psychology of three hospitals in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, China from October 2022 to August 2023 were selected. Based on the scores of 24-item Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-24), Barthel (BL) index, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) before enrollment, the patients were randomly divided into control group (n = 58) and experimental group (n = 52). The patients in control group were treated with limb rehabilitation, while those in experimental group underwent limb rehabilitation combined with five-element music therapy and mirtazapine. Results: After 12 weeks of treatment and observation, 11 patients in control group and 9 patients in experimental group withdrew from this trail. As for the proportions of score changes, experimental group had higher decline proportions of HAMD-24 score and NIHSS score as well as an increased proportion of BL index score than control group, which were 43.97%, 69.32%, and 44.12%, respectively. Conclusion: TCM five-element music therapy combined with mirtazapine significantly improves depression and limb function recovery after ischemic stroke.

As the main active ingredient of the orchidaceous herb Bletilla striata, B. striata polysaccharide(BSP) has pharmacological activities such as promoting coagulation, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, promoting wound healing, anti-tumor, and immunomodulation, and is biodegradable and non-toxic. Additionally, it has the material properties of suspension thickening, film-forming adhesion, coating and solubilizing, targeting and slow releasing, effect-enhancing and toxicity-reducing, etc., playing the role of unification of medicines and excipients. Therefore, BSP has a wide application prospect in the fields of drug delivery system and trauma repair. This paper reviews the research progress of BSP application in new drug delivery systems and biomaterials based on the related li-terature in recent years, with the aim of providing reference for the further research and application of BSP.

In order to explore Qingke ß-glucans as functional food ingredients for prevention of obesity, the physicochemical structures, in vitro binding properties, and inhibitory activities on pancreatic lipase of ß-glucans from three different Qingke cultivars, including Ganyucang (black), Dingqing (blue), and Zangqing 320 (white), were investigated and compared. Results showed that molecular weights, particle sizes, and intrinsic viscosities of ß-glucans from colored (black and blue) Qingke cultivars were much higher than those of white Qingke ß-glucans, respectively. In addition, the constituent monosaccharides of ß-glucans from colored Qingke cultivars were determined as arabinose, xylose, glucose, and galactose, and glucose was the dominant monosaccharide. Furthermore, colored Qingke ß-glucans exerted strong fat binding, cholesterol binding, and bile-acid binding capacities, as well as inhibitory activities on pancreatic lipase, which were much higher than those of white Qingke ß-glucans. Indeed, the fat binding, cholesterol binding, and bile-acid binding capacities, as well as the inhibitory activities on pancreatic lipase of Qingke ß-glucans were positively associated with their molecular weights and intrinsic viscosities. Results are beneficial for better understanding of the structure-function relationship of Qingke ß-glucans, and ß-glucans from colored Qingke cultivars (Ganyucang and Dingqing) could be further explored as functional food ingredients for prevention of obesity.

ß-glucans have been considered the major bioactive components in Qingke (Tibetan hulless barley). However, the structure⁻function relationships of ß-glucans from Qingke have seldom been investigated. Whether the bioactivities of Qingke ß-glucans are closely correlated to their molecular weights remains unknown. Therefore, in order to explore Qingke ß-glucans as functional/healthy food ingredients for industrial applications, and to better understand their structure⁻function relationships, correlations of molecular weights of Qingke ß-glucans to their in vitro binding properties, inhibitory activities on digestive enzymes (α-amylase and pancreatic lipase), anti-inflammatory activities, and anticancer activities were systematically investigated. Results showed that the in vitro binding properties and the inhibitory activities on α-amylase and pancreatic lipase of Qingke ß-glucans were positively correlated to their molecular weights. However, the anti-inflammatory activities of Qingke ß-glucans increased as their molecular weights decreased. Furthermore, Qingke ß-glucans exhibited selectively anti-cancer activities in vitro. Positive and negative correlations of molecular weights to inhibitory effects against A549 cells and MDA-MB-231 cells were observed, respectively. However, the inhibitory effects of Qingke ß-glucans against HCT116 cells were not associated with their molecular weights. Results suggested that the molecular weights of Qingke ß-glucans significantly affected their bioactivities, which was beneficial for a better understanding of their structure⁻function relationships. Moreover, results showed that Qingke ß-glucans could be further explored as functional/healthy food ingredients for industrial applications due to their multiple health benefits.

The spatiotemporal dynamic patterns of vegetation in mining area are still unclear. This study utilized time series trajectory segmentation algorithm to fit Landsat NDVI time series which generated from fusion images at the most prosperous period of growth based on ESTARFM algorithm. Combining with the shape features of the fitted trajectory, this paper extracted five vegetation dynamic patterns including pre-disturbance type, continuous disturbance type, stabilization after disturbance type, stabilization between disturbance and recovery type, and recovery after disturbance type. The result indicated that recovery after disturbance type was the dominant vegetation change pattern among the five types of vegetation dynamic pattern, which accounted for 55.2% of the total number of pixels. The follows were stabilization after disturbance type and continuous disturbance type, accounting for 25.6% and 11.0%, respectively. The pre-disturbance type and stabilization between disturbance and recovery type accounted for 3.5% and 4.7%, respectively. Vegetation disturbance mainly occurred from 2004 to 2009 in Shengli mining area. The onset time of stable state was 2008 and the spatial locations mainlydistributed in open-pit stope and waste dump. The reco-very state mainly started since the year of 2008 and 2010, while the areas were small and mainly distributed at the periphery of open-pit stope and waste dump. Duration of disturbance was mainly 1 year. The duration of stable period usually sustained 7 years. The duration of recovery state of the type of stabilization between disturbances continued 2 to 5 years, while the type of recovery after disturbance often sustained 8 years.
